Which probe head is installed on which NMR instrument?

Changes are indicated in the NMR booking system at the respective NMR spectrometer.

For which experiments can you use each particular probe head?

QNP (¹H; ¹³C; ¹⁹F; ³¹P)
Particulary suitable for all ¹H detected 2D spectra. (homo- or heteronuclear)

BBI (¹H; ¹³C; ¹⁵N; ²⁹Si; etc. (broad band))
Particulary suitable for all ¹H detected 2D spectra. (homo- or heteronuclear)

TXI (¹H; ¹³C; ¹⁵N)
Particulary suitable for all ¹H detected 2D spectra. (homo- or heteronuclear with ¹³C and ¹⁵N)

BBO (¹³C; ¹H; etc. (broad band))
Particulary suitable for all direct-measured hetero nuclei.

Cryo TCI (¹H; ¹³C; ¹⁵N)
Particulary suitable for all ¹H detected 2D spectra. (homo- or heteronuclear with ¹³C and ¹⁵N)

The reservation: When making a reservation you must give your complete name and phone number, otherwise the reservation is invalid.

Where should I reserve some measuring time?

On a NMR machine, where I have a login, I can reserve some measuring time.

Remember: It does not always make sense to conduct measurements on the instrument with the highest magnetic field. The sensitivity and type of the installed probe head plays a major rule.

How much time should I reserve?

The measuring time depends on the type and the number of experiments.

What should I do if the measurement finishes earlier or if the sample was decomposed?

The reserved time which is not needed, has to be given free immediately. That means, the entry in the reservation file must be adjusted. Then give a notice to the first person in the waiting list.

If the system is abused, the respective login can be blocked or other sanctions can be applied.
