BIO 446 Applied RNA Methodology, Blockkurs
28.8.2024 – 13.09.2024

The course is based on the latest RNA-research and creates an interface between theory, practice and current research. Students gain insight into different methods for the investigation of catalytically active RNAs. The spectrum ranges from RNA structural biology using NMR (Isotope labeling), to various chemical investigation methods for determining the secondary structure (Radioactive labeling), to the observation of dynamic processes determined by fluorescence and single-molecule spectroscopy (Fluorescence labeling, Förster Resonance Energy Transfer, FRET).
