Prof. Linden was the Director of the X-ray Crystallography Facility, initially in the Institute of Organic Chemistry and subsequently in the Department of Chemistry, of the University of Zurich, Switzerland from October 1989 to May 2022. He retired at the end of May 2022.
Prof. Linden is still actively involved in teaching crystallography at various schools and workshops, including as a director of the Zurich School of Crystallography.
