On June 19, over one hundred students and PIs participated in the ChemCup 2019, a newly launched sports day of the Department of Chemistry. A total of 12 teams of almost all research groups competed in football, volleyball and an obstacle run for the beautiful ChemCup trophy. Despite the hot weather, each team gave its best and made this sports day a great event. In a very tight score, the team of the Gademann group, Karl’s Habibis, won the ChemCup. We congratulate the winners as well as all the other teams! Thanks to the success of this event, we look forward to seeing you all on the field next year for ChemCup 2020. We would like to thank the sponsors of this event - the CMSZH Graduate School, the Betty Sassella-Keller Legat and ASVZ - and everyone who helped with the organization. Special thanks goes to Hanspeter and Serkan from the Workshop, Ramona and Celina, Michel Rickhaus and the BBQ squad. We believe that the ChemCup sport spirit will make the bonds within the groups and within the department even stronger and contribute to the success of our research.
