Research in our lab is focused on the design, synthesis, and evaluation of chemical probes for diverse secondary and tertiary structures of nucleic acids including triplex, G-quadruplex, and i-motif DNA. Once optimized, these small molecules should provide important tools for probing the function of these DNAs, and may provide important new leads for anti-cancer agents.
