Award Lectures

Siegfried Symposium
The award is made biannually and consists of a gold medal, a bronze replica, and an honorarium of 10,000 CHF.
The general area of process chemistry drives much of the chemical industry but receives fewer than its share of highlights. The Siegfried company in conjunction with the University of Zurich wishes to reward scientists who have made important contributions to this essential branch of the chemical enterprise. Scientists would have made outstanding contributions to Chemical Methods with an impact on Process Chemistry are eligible for consideration by the Siegfried Medal jury.

Hofmann Symposium
The first Hofmann Symposium took place on the occasion of Hofmann's 100th birthday at the Irchel Campus. The Organic Chemistry Institute of the University of Zürich was proud to honor an outstanding alumnus on the occasion of his centennial birthday.
