Die Givaudan-Karrer-Vorlesungsreihe wurde 2005 ins Leben gerufen. Jedes Jahr besucht eine renommierte Givaudan-Karrer-Gastprofessorin oder Gastprofessor die Universität Zürich und hält dort einen kurzen Spezialkurs für Doktorierende sowie eine Forschungsvorlesung bei Givaudan.
Die Givaudan-Karrer-Gastprofessorin für 2025 ist Prof. Dr. Sarah Reisman vom California Institute of Technology, USA.

Sandra Luber receives the 2024 Walter Thiel Award. The award recognizes an outstanding scientific contribution of a young researcher based in a country affiliated to EuChemS. The award is granted every two years. Sandra is the first woman and the first person from Switzerland receiving this award.
