The Department of Chemistry invites applications for ERC Starting Grants 2027.

The Department of Chemistry invites applications from candidates intending to apply for ERC Starting Grants. At the University of Zurich, ERC Starting Grant recipients have assistant professor status (non-tenure track), and the Department of Chemistry aims to identify candidates to be supported in an interview round.

For applicants applying for ERC Starting Grants 2027 at the Department of Chemistry please be aware of the following time schedule:

Monday, August 24^th, 2026, 17:00: Deadline for Applicants

Tuesday, September 1^st, 2026: Candidates will be informed
Tuesday, September 8^th, 2026: Zoom Interviews (morning)
Expectations for the interview: 20 min presentation, 20 min interview.
Friday, September 11^th, 2026: Candidates will be informed

Wednesday, October 14^th, 2026: Deadline ERC
