CHemExSeminars – Chemical Exchange Seminars
What are ChemExSeminars?
In this student-run seminar series Ph.D. students, PostDocs, and Master students present their work and the challenges in their project, provide feedback to each other, and network.
We all have a lot to do, why another seminar?
In these seminars, you can speak freely about your project without any PI present, discuss among your peers, and get feedback from many different perspectives, groups, and working fields within the Department of Chemistry. The goal is to create an atmosphere where we can all exchange our views on the project, find solutions, and different avenues to investigate! At each event, one student or PostDocs shares his/her results and, more importantly, the challenges they face in their lab work. We then all engage in giving feedback to the presenter. Afterwards, an Aperó provides the ideal environment for further discussions, networking, and getting to know your peers.
Did we come up with this idea ourselves?
No. Our colleagues at the Biochemistry Institute have been doing exchange seminars for the past months and they have been a roaring success! We therefore thought to bring this concept to the DoC.
