High-resolution two sector field mass analyzer (GC)-MS equipped with electron- and chemical-ionization (EI and CI), direct chemical ionization (DCI), gas chromatograph (GC), and autosampler incl. headspace sampling, and automatic derivatization.
Suited for the analysis of small and volatile molecules with rather low polarity that can be evaporated without decomposition.

Bruker maXis

High-resolution QTOF HPLC-MS(-MS) fitted optionally with an electrospray- or atmospheric pressure ion source (ESI or APCI). This system has a resolution up to 40’000, a mass accuracy ≤ 2 ppm allows MS/MS experiments, and measurements in an extended mass range (m/z 50-20'000) and is on-line coupled to a Waters UPLC.
Suited for investigation incl. calculation of chemical formulae of complex and labile samples (e.g. metal complexes), mid-polar to polar small and large molecules, biopolymers and complex biological extracts.

High-resolution Orbitrap HPLC-MS(/MS) instrument fitted with an electrospray- or atmospheric pressure ion source (ESI or APCI). This system has a resolution up to 140’000, a mass accuracy ≤ 2 ppm, an extended mass range (m/z 50-6000) and is on-line coupled to an Ultimate 3000 UHPLC system (up to 1000 bar).
Suited for investigation and quantification of labile samples (e.g. metal complexes), biopolymers and complex biological extracts.

Bruker AutoflexSpeed

Maldi-TOF instrument fitted with stainless steel, AnchorChip, or nanostructured laser desorption (Naldi®) targets. A thin-layer chromatography plate adapter for direct TLC-Maldi analysis is also available.
Suited for the analysis of polyaromatic hydrocarbones, dendrimers, peptides, proteins, polymer, and metal complexes of higher MR. Mass accuracy ≤ 5 ppm.
